CAFETERIA
Every effort is made to provide students with a well-balanced breakfast and
lunch at minimum cost. Menus and prices are posted at schools, on cable
channel 18 and at http://www.fcps.org. Students may purchase meals and/or
other food items with cash. However, prepayment protects against lost or
forgotten lunch money and allows students to move through the serving lines
more quickly.
To prepay school meals, a parent/guardian may send cash or a check payable to
Walkersville High School Cafeteria. A payment in any amount may be placed
on the child’s account. An Internet online prepay program is also available
through Café Prepay at http://www.cafeprepay.com. Money is deposited
through Café Prepay by using a credit card and there is an associated service
fee. The payment will be credited to the child’s account the morning after the
payment is made.
Free and reduced-price meals are available to families with limited ability to
pay. For more information about the program, a parent/guardian may contact
the Food Service Office at (301) 644-5065.

Regulations governing student conduct appear below:
- All food and drink must be consumed in the cafeteria area (other than
water in a clear container).
- Students should remain seated while eating.
- Students are to leave the lunch table and surrounding area(s) clean and
orderly. All trays and trash must be removed promptly.
- Students should be courteous, polite and exhibit proper behavior at all
times.
- Because classes are in session during each lunch period, students are
expected to remain in the cafeteria when they have finished eating lunch.
Students are not permitted to walk the hallways at any time during the
lunch shifts. Students will be required to have a hall pass from their
teacher dismissing the student from their assigned area to a specific
destination, such as the Media Center.
- Restrooms located in the Commons Area will be available to students
during their lunch shift.
- Students are not allowed to leave the school building or enter unauthorized
areas during lunch shifts.
