Previously I taught Technology Education at New Market Middle School for five years. I taught the seventh grade courses of Technology in Careers and Communication Techniques. I received my bachelors degree from Towson University a long time ago in Business and Economics. When I decided to change to the teaching profession I went to Mt. St. Mary's and received a Master's in Teaching (MAT) degree. I am certified in technology education and business education. Prior to becoming a teacher I worked in the Frederick County area in the fields of accounting and human resources. I was a project accountant and personnel specialist for the general contractors of Morgan-Keller. I also worked in the same capacity for the contractor Miscellaneous Metals. While my children were small, I worked part-time as a bookkeeper for a law firm in Frederick. I have two children, ages 11 and 15, a boy and girl, and live in Walkersville. Walkersville has always been my home as I graduated from Walkersville High School as well.
