National Aquarium in Baltimore Student Summer Program 2007

Would you like the opportunutiy to learn about marine biology while working in a fast-paced, exciting environment? Would you like to meet people from all over the world? Would you like to learn new skills and gain valuable work experience? Would you like to work at Maryland’s most popular tourist attraction? Are you outgoing, friendly, and dependable? If you answer yes to all of these questions, consider volunteering and working for the 2007 Student Summer Program at the National Aquarium in Baltimore!

If you are willing to meet all the guidelines and are seriuoly interested in this program, you must complete all steps of the application process,talk to your Science Department Chair about becoming one of the students selected by your school, and then forward the completed packet to us by December 22, 2006.  Requirements:

  • Completion of one high school level biology course by June, 2007
  • Completion of the 9 th grade by June, 2007
  • Selection as one of three eligible candidates from your school
  • Mandatory attendance at all training sessions on Saturdays in February and March, as well as Refresher Days in April, May, and June (all dates are subject to change)
  • Commitment to complete at least 100 hours of volunteer work during the Program
